Came across some free pdf downloads of books by Karla Turner. Just wondered if anybody has heard of her? I did a little reading and it seems Greg Bishop and Art Bell and several people have interviewed her. I had googled "free online u.f.o. books" and that is how I found her books.
I just came across Karla Turner too and have put her Taken book on my wee pda gadget thing but haven't started reading it yet. Did you get it from her tribute website (I think maybe not considering what you wrote above)? Anyway, if you don't know she died in the mid 90s but her memory lives on in the website http://karlaturner.org which is run I believe by her husband, Elton Turner. There is tonnes more info on her there by the look of it ...
I did get it from the tribute site. I also put it on my Ipod and I'm just getting started reading it.
TAKEN was my first brush with the MILAB phenomenon, which is for whatever reason the 'paranormal' topic I find most compelling...and for which there also seems to be the least amount of data available for me to access. I should have bought Helmut Lammer's book when i was still going for the 'discount price' of $45.
I've watched all the video available on her. Her story is pretty interesting and I've always wanted to hear Greg Bishop talk more about her.
Rich Sarradet and I knew her pretty well. He even went out to visit her at her place in rural Arkansas and came back with some strange stories. Perhaps I could have him on my show to talk about it. Karla and I talked by phone fairly regularly until her death. I admired her "here's what happened to me, I don't care if you don't believe it" attitude.
