After our co-host changeover last year, we have continued The Paracast with a revolving group of special guest co-hosts, all experts when it comes to paranormal research.

I'm pleased to announce that we have asked Chris O'Brien to serve as the permanent co-host for The Paracast, effective immediately. Both Greg Bishop and Nick Redfern will continue as guest co-hosts, as they're available.

    Way to go Chris! :)

    Gene,

you hit a home run here. I like Chris because he actually engages people on here. Even when I was rude, (emails) he was a nice guy and I think you two really work well together.

His knowledge of this 'odd stuff', I don't need to comment on . :)

I was just thinking myself about how honest and straight forward Chris is when it comes to engaging the forum members. There is discussion and of course room for disagreement as well as agreement. But, the willingness to have a back and forth conversation with the host (both of you) is one of the things that makes the Paracast a unique show. I can't imagine George Noory being able to come on and take lumps and have to defend a show the way you guys do. Keep up the good work.

Not a bad choice. I don't always agree with Chris, but he's out there doing his thing and he's a decent host. I'm looking forward to Chris completing his plans and have a dedicated show.

ETA: What I meant to say was 'Well done Chris, you're a good host.'

Thanks Gene, and a special thanks to all our great posters who share their insight and passion about the complex subjects the show covers. I have some big smelly boots to fill, but I have a supply of some really strong foot deodarant. :)

Being a part of this unique program means a lot to me because (IMO) the Paracast has truly established itself as the "Gold Standard" of paranormal radio and it is gratifying to be handed the co-baton to carry that tradition forward. I have listened to (and been a guest on) countless "paranormal" shows out there, and IMO this show (and Gene's vision of how these subjects should be handled) stands head and shoulders above the rest. I am truly honored to be a part of this vision, and after 40 shows, I hope I have shown our sophisticated audience that I have a fairly objective command of the subject matter and that I insist upon looking at these subjects from an out-of-the-box, fresh perspective. IMO, there is no substitute for creative, critical thinking and I appreciate it when our posters point out when I occasionally stray away for journalistic objectivity. I know some of you question my brand of insight, and that's OK, I'll continue to keep it as real and unbiased as possible and bring you around. And I won't cackle the trickster cackle to often... I know it scares and confuses people :)

Thanks again for ALL your supportive comments and I look forward to helping Gene continue to build this show into the very best show it can be!

That was long overdue, Gene... If the application process is always that tedious and long I'm applying for co-host 2025 right now... ;-)

Chris, congratulations man, you two complement each other like Matthau and Lemon or even better, Waldorf and Statler... Love it..!
