Another UFO Update: Ask Stanton T. Friedman

He's back. The dean of UFO researchers, Stanton T. Friedman, returns to The Paracast to discuss the full range of UFO-related issues, including the latest on Roswell, recent sightings, abductions and more.

He'll be asked whether the key UFO cases occurred decades ago, and whether more recent sightings are as compelling in terms of evidence.

Friedman is one of the key researchers into the Roswell crash and other events over the years, and has posited a strong case that the phenomenon is the result of extraterrestrials visiting Earth. His recent books include “Flying Saucers and Science” (2008) and “Science Was Wrong,” (2010) co-authored with Kathleen Marden. He also wrote the foreword to “How to Talk to An Alien,” from Nancy du Tertre, and the preface for "The Aztec UFO Incident," from Scott Ramsey, Suzanne Ramsey and Frank Thayer.

This episode will be recorded on Wednesday, May 25 at 11 AM Pacific time.

Question(s) for Mr. Friedman....leading in from the previous episode....given both Clintons referring to a "Area 54" do you think it's possible that a lack of solid answers have been found, in regards to Roswell, and perhaps other cases, because everyone has been led to look in the wrong places (i.e. Area 51)? If so, has your own research led you to any likely alternate locations for recovered material and what do you think of the possibility of material being spirited off to some remote part of Canada?

Recent investigations of Zeta Reticuli indicate that the star is likely to be surrounded by a debris disk rather than a planetary system. Does Mr Friedman still believe that this is a prime candidate location for an extraterrestrial civilisation?

What does Stan make of the recent announcement from Prof Stephen Hawking regarding "Breakthrough Starshot?" For many years we were informed that travel to the nearest of stars would be almost impossible. Do you think this could be the beginning of a change in attitude?

Given the advanced nature of a technology that cold achieve interstellar travel, how likely does Stanton believe that it would fail (I.e. crash) upon arrival at earth. Even our primitive flying earth technology has redundant systems and crashes are 1 in multi million events. Surely the prospect of advanced systems failing so completely is preposterous.

Please follow up if the powerful radar explanation is used to describe the reason for the crash. What is the source of this explanation and how on earth could we determine this as the reason after the fact

What does Stanton make of some of the major ufo waves seeming to be just a step ahead of the equivalent human technology at the time e.g.

Airships in the early 1900's
Ghost rockets just after WW2
Flying smaller triangles in the 80's
Giant flying triangles now

Question 1: Does Stanton feel the UFO's and the occupants do not want humanity to know about them? Is this a self-concealing phenomena?

Question 2: If a UFO did crash in Roswell, and the ETs do not want humanity to know about it, why did they let us keep their hardware. Does Stanton believe that a little tin hanger, and a rickety chain linked fence out in the desert would be enough to prevent a gravity defying advanced species from recovering their goods?

Question 3: Does Stanton still hold to the theory that 2 crafts collided with each other, if so, why don't more researchers hold this position? If the reliability of the witnesses is so good, how can there be two drastically different versions of the same event?

Question 4: What does Stanton feel is the reason why Kevin Randell is suddenly a hardnosed skeptic when it comes to Roswell. Less than a year ago he appeared on Dark Matter Radio doubling down on the credibility of the witnesses in support of an ET crash. What could have changed his mind in such a short period of time and despite any new evidence?

As I said the show was scheduled to be recorded at 11 AM Pacific; well, actually 40 minutes later, because Stan was running late.
