Ron James, longtime "conscious media" producer will return to the Paracast to address a wide-range of subjects that will include, the Paracast+Plus video channel; The Disclosure Initiative; the future of multi-media education and coverage of paranormal subjects in the 21st Century; evolving understanding of human consciousness; emerging investigative approaches to "haunted sites," and much much more!

Please post your QUESTIONS here! We will be taping Thursday February 5th @ 11 MT.

1. My hesitation regarding the expansion of paranormal media coverage is that Hollywood will destroy the credibility of the investigators involved (e.g. The Atlantic Paranormal Society). What steps, if any, can these groups take to avoid the Hollywood stigma without turning away from the opportunity to expand the very media coverage they hope to promote?

2. What is your response to skeptics of The Disclosure Initiative who claim that disclosure will do more harm than good? Also, what if there simply is nothing to disclose?

QUESTIONS:

1) Why not do shows that throw in some comedy or some lighthearted aspects, because people look for the humor in it both towards the skeptic and believer, the "wise cracker", steal what Colbert and Stewart do with that skeptic humor, off-angle viewpoints, a dash of sarcasm, directed at both sides, AND do it with two viewpoints like a "case study" from TWO POINTS of view such as the skeptic and the believer similar to Brad Meltzer's Decoded?

Here is a concept that is similar to my idea: Brad Meltzer's Decoded

2) Will this increase the audience using these ideas such as: at the end of shows one could offer "the analysis", but with smart funny quips and more jaded skeptic and believer drama. Making fun of some hoaxes helps to educate too. Add-in an "out of the box" idea, something people wouldn't normally consider, and, finally, what the implications are for military use/abuse or the < 1% power elites could do with this. What do you think?

3) Do you have any interest to increase the audience using these techniques... Have a higher eye-candy factor [you say you need that to get more audience], plus, can you make a special introductory offer to Paracast listeners to save $ on your current one month and 6 month subscriptions (buy one month get two buy six months get 12) ? Thanks.

Please post your QUESTIONS for Ron here. If you have something to say, or a suggestion, or anything that is not a direct question for our guest— make a new thread, or apply it to an existing thread, thanks...

Your video library is somewhat limited. Can you get on Amazon Prime or Netflix? When? Amazon allows me to download to watch off-line, and your content is still protected. I don't want a streaming connection, as it ties me online taking bandwidth & it can't be mobile on another device for playback off-line.

1) Current paranormal media seems to have watered itself down into downright confabulation and the sensationalizing of unproven claims. What effect do you think this is having on general audiences and do they even care? Is this lowest common denominator entertainment approach going to be the new normal?

2) What do you feel are excellent examples of good critical paranormal media, past, present or future?

3) re: human consciousness
There's a lot of critical, academic investigation into the role of neurochemistry and how the default brain mode can become deactivated which may produce all manner of paranormal experiences. Do you feel that much of the paranormal experience is merely a product of our own uncontrolled imaginations when the doors of perception are thrown wide open? Or is it more of a collaboration between the mind and actual unknown phenomenon?
