There's a report from the NUFORC database for 11/01/2004 of a white oblong object sighted in Riverside, CA. The report was posted the next day on 11/02/2004. I'll be damned if it doesn't read like exactly the same UFO seen in the Nimitz case.

Great question! I considered the issue of the anomalous radar data when I came up with this theory, but I am willing to dismiss it (for now) because the government hasn’t released any of that data. There's no way to conclusively match the radar returns to the visually-observed phenomena...
